The 2010 Cumberland County Fair is coming! We are already making our plans and booking entertainment for what we think will be the best Fair ever!
Scholarship Winners
North Carolina Association of Agricultural Fairs have awarded scholarships to both of the Cumberland County Fair nominees!
Richard Vernon is a graduating senior at Cape Fear High School and will attend UNC-Wilmington; Jamie Lynn Boudreaux, from Grays Creek High School, will be attending N. C. State University in Raleigh.
Both Richard and Lynn were selected initially to receive $1000.00 scholarships each from the Cumberland County Fair and then were nominated for the scholarships that will be awarded by the North Carolina Association of Agricultural Fairs……and both of them, from the same fair, were selected to receive another $1000.00 each from the Association.
Richard and Lynn both have been tremendously involved through their various school and church organizations at the Cumberland County Fair for the past several years and are both deserving and worthy to receive such recognitions. We congratulation both them and their parents and wish them well in their educational endeavors!
